Disfrutamos mucho de este tour. Inicialmente estábamos en la valla acerca de hacer una gira de Pablo Escobar porque no queríamos apoyar la cultura de drogas pasada. Sin embargo, esta gira fue cualquier cosa menos. Fue una explicación de la transformación de la época más horrible en la historia de Medellín a la vibrante comunidad que es hoy. Nuestro guía John era increíblemente informativo y conocedor. Podías sentir su orgullo por su país y se centró en la historia de Medellín, el impacto del tráfico de drogas y Escobar, y lo lejos que ha llegado el país. Una de nuestras paradas favoritas fue el monumento a las más de 40.000 víctimas. Nuestro guía también se adaptó a todas nuestras necesidades, incluyendo una parada de café y la entrega oportuna al aeropuerto. Recomendamos 100% este tour (y John!).

Josué da grandes ideas sobre el ascenso y caída del Cartel de Medellín, la familia Escobar, y los sentimientos encontrados en un tipo que ayudó a algunos, ejecutó montones, destruyó más. Inspiring tour

It was really great, we had a very good time. Our guide was kind, very passionate, and knew exactly what to share with us. It was very interesting! Maybe we would have enjoyed a little more time in Comuna 13, not only on the main road. We felt that it wasn’t really necessary to have a guide just to walk along the main road for about 10 minutes. But that’s just a small detail, and we still really enjoyed the experience overall!

Jan 2026 • Solo Deciding to venture out on my own while the rest of my travel group rested from the night before, I journeyed with Camantours guide Camilo to Alto Del Chocho, New Peñol, El Peñol, and Guatapé. Well acquainted with Medellín, Camilo provided fascinating insights about Medellín specifically and Colombia generally. An affable gentleman with a generous spirit, he made the entire experience like I was traveling safely with a good friend. Our wide-ranging conversations between the full-day tour stops were as entertaining and enlightening as the actual stops. From delicious pan de bono y café in Alto Del Chocho and beautiful vistas atop el Peñol to vibrant zocalos and magnificent church architecture in Guatapé, the experience was a memorable one! Excellent experience - can't wait to return!

We loved our visit to Comuna 13. Comila was a great guide. He spoke excellent English and knew a great deal about the history of the area. We were surprised at how many of the locals he knew there. Comuna 13 is not only an interesting area to visit, but the art and graffiti walls were amazingly colorful and beautiful. We also took a ride up the cable car to see the views and the opposite side of the Comuna. Also very interesting and worthwhile. We would highly recommend this tour, and Comila for your guide. You will not be disappointed.
